Add lots of rain to that last lamenting post.....

This is a typical day off for me now it seems, less than 24 hours after some torrential rain my day off is greeted with a gale force wind. The wind is the least of my problems today, everything for fishing is running high and murky. Well, maybe by the weekend it will clear up a bit and we can get back to some semblance of normal and I can get out to wet a line. Hope springs eternal.

Since I am kind of stuck here, just no fishing makes me feel stuck, I thought I would show a couple of pictures I like from my collection. This one is Zone 3 of the LMF river. It is just above the Highway 70 bridge and is very seldom fished. That doesn't mean there are lots of fish there, but it can be very quiet and solitary there, until the canoes and kayaks hit. But by then it is usually about lunch time anyway.

This next picture my daughter took up in Spillway Creek one day. I don't have a lot of pictures of me actaully looking like I can cast, just looking like I can I said. This was a nice day and we were darn close to a good old skunking, I finally got 2 of the stockers there to take woolys. Of course I lost those flies and that was the only color they had interest in so it was soon time to leave. She has a very good eye for taking pictures I think.

This shot was taken at the Chutes in Zone 2 on a beautiful day in May of 2007. I met my friend Scott and his friend Laura to do some trout fishing. Laura was very new to it and was a real trooper and stuck with it even though success was minimal. But when you are able to spend time on a river on a day like this catching fish is not as critical as at other times. After this I moved up to the Evening Hole and was really getting into the fish there, sorry Scott and Laura. But what a fantastic day to be out on the water.

That's it for today, just a quick trip down memory lane. Those days are not far off for me and hopefully everyone else as well. There are lots of fish waiting for us and the weather to hit right. Good luck and get out and go fish!
