Been Fishing.......

I wish I had been. It has been a bit too long since I did so what have I been doing? Well, there is the joy we call work which I am determined to convince myself I love. I must or I wouldn't keep going back! The everyday grind of living life with an aging parent that has memory issues, that is not near as fun as it sounds. :(

I have gotten my canoe hanger finished and usable now. Hope I can get a trailer soon, that's not even a hint if you read it Shannon! ;) I fixed a ton of leaders that got junked up over the months and now they are ready to go. I may even go practice casting here in a bit.

Mostly I have been tying......

Quite a space there huh? This is where the magic happens! Well at least this is where I try to believe I am able to tie flies, there are even a few clouser minnows in the container up front. It is a great way to try and stay in touch with what I am passionate about right now, fishing!!! And hopefully, soon, fly fishing guiding.

Yeah, this is where I am spending more and more of my time right now. But, it could be much worse. Fast cars, booze and loose women could fill my time again. And that never got me anywhere; damn it was fun though!

Oh well, no looking back now. If the weather is good enough I am going to try to put the canoe in the water Wednesday and fish White Rock Lake a bit, probably won't have much success but I need to get the canoe wet and see how she works. Plus I think I am going to do a Sunday run to Broken Bow next week. The park is empty and the fish should have seen decreased angler pressure, which is great for me!

Hopefully I can get my friend Scott to make the trip, we will see. I most likely will do the overnight camp thing and fish the next day. Hope I see all of you on the water soon.
